When I first put together Coyote’s room, it had serve as his room and as a guest room. Our little casa is a 2br, 1ba, so I had to get creative with the space. We managed to fit a queen size bed, a crib, a bookcase, nightstand, rocking horse, and a dresser in there. I wanted it to feel like his room, but also suited for grandparents and friends who came to visit. The Rincon print was my source of inspiration for the space. The print, by Daniella Manini, happens to be dad’s favorite surf spot, and Coyote’s too:) She creates the most beautiful art prints of all the best surf spots in Southern California.

I’d still love to add some of that stick-on decal wallpaper on this wall, or some more art? What do you think? Any brands/artists you love? I feel bad sometimes it’s not more “kid-like” but it’s also very peaceful and has an ocean/surf vibe without being over the top.

His little changing area barely fits on this wall, but we made it work. You just can’t fully open the door lol:) And again, we could probably use some art of some sort.

When I was picking out the furniture for his room, I literally blue taped every piece on the floor. And I had to do that about a million times! I was determined to fit a queen size bed so blue tape was my best friend. I just kept trying different combinations until it all fit.

I also love this little makeshift reading nook. We pile pillows on the floor, make forts & have serious cuddle time.
