LAST NIGHT IN VENICE

This night is incredibly bittersweet. We’re going out to celebrate my birthday at my fiancé’s restaurant, Hatchet Hall, and it’s our last night in Venice. I find myself reflecting on where we’ve called home for the last 8 years, Venice. We ran around like crazy kids, crashed our bikes into bushes cruising home late night, raged at random house parties, met some of the best people/family ever, and lived like happy little beach bums. We can never re-create what this time has been. Nor will Venice ever be the same. We lived here during a very magical time. It’s sad to see the big corporations and giant box houses tear down and take over the character and charm of what was the cutest, grimiest, and most magical little beach town. Now it’s time to grow up a bit more, and move out of our comfort zone. We bought our first house in the cutest little neighborhood of Spanish Bungalows in Long Beach, California. So tomorrow we move. So sad to go, but it’s time:)

On to bigger and better things!

x,

Laura
