Blanco Bungalow Kitchen Reno: Week 11, Floating Shelf & faucet Installation

It’s week eleven of our kitchen renovation, and our floating wood shelves have finally arrived!

I chose the alder wood solid hardwood shelves from shelfology. alder wood was quite cheaper than oak, so we went with that to save some money.

I loved working with shelfology on this project because they cut the shelves to your measurements - you can choose your depth, thickness and length.

above is shelf unstained.

the installation has gone pretty seamless so far, except one sticky corner where the shelf didn´t want to line up with the bracket. I definitely would advise having two people install these, otherwise you’ll probably have a bit of a struggle.

but wow, look how amazing these look!

I chose the aksel floating shelves in 12” depth, 1.75” thick, and the alder wood in natural to save some money., and I stained them myself.

time to finally take the film off of the hood and bolt it in.

I am loving these!!

gypsy likes them too:)

we also installed our Kohler Crue faucet. I love the design f this faucet because it’s simple, clean, and has the pull down sprayer. you can also get a good look at our riverby undercount sink. we installed it using silicone and clamps, and then finishing off with another seal of silicone along the edge where it meets the micro cement.

and the ceiling is finished painting, and we’re installing our Samsung bespoke dishwasher in white glass.

thankfully we’ll be done with our temporary dining room kitchen soon! although it´s been great:)

I´m really hoping next week we can move all of this back into the kitchen and out of the dining room. fingers crossed!
