POV: Palm Springs Staycation. How I transformed my Backyard into my very own Desert Oasis with World Market

This post is in paid partnership with World Market. All opinions and ideas are 100% my own.

The Jacarandas are in full bloom, and that means it’s time to give my outdoor space a little refresh for Spring. I wanted a casual little sitting area where I could relax, read a book, enjoy my morning coffee, and entertain or have a glass of wine with a girlfriend.

Going for a relaxed desert vibe, I kept the color pallet very neutral. Shades of tan, terracotta, natural, white, warm woods and as always, a touch of black.

Staring with a neutral rug to anchor the space. Then choosing seating. I chose this lovely little woven bench, and then mixed it up with the accent chairs.

I’m beyond obsessed with this hanging chair - I’ve always wanted one, and Coyote absolutely loves swinging around in it, so it’s safe to say it’s a keeper. I love how it brings a sense of playfulness to the space.

And one of my favorite new additions is this outdoor bar cart.

We’ve never had anywhere to put anything when it comes to entertaining. I feel like we’re always shuffling around hors d’oeuvres, and looking for places to set up drinks. Now we have the perfect spot, and it has wheels, so it’s super easy to move around.

And nothing makes an outdoor space feel more inviting than shade. One of my my favorite things to do is sit in the hanging chair under this massive fringe umbrella in the afternoon and read a book or take a little break from my day and listen to the birds.

And now for the accessories. These solar lanterns look equally as chic during the day than they do during the night. And the woven outdoor pouf is the perfect foot rest for the swinging chair. I also wanted proper entertaining pieces like this glass drink dispenser, and wood serving bowl.

And Voila! Here is my little patio makeover!
